No! The state of North Carolina allows “Direct Access” to Physical Therapy. This means you are not legally required to have a Physician’s referral before seeing a Physical Therapist for an evaluation or treatment. Upon request, we can provide you with a superbill to submit claims to your insurance company and to submit for reimbursement from your FSA and HSA. And don’t forget that you are also getting the benefit of one-on-one, full-hour sessions, and faster results at ADAPT! If you have an FSA or HSA account, know that Physical Therapy is an eligible health care cost! FSA accounts expire at the end of the year, so contact us today to schedule your Physical Therapy evaluation and put that FSA money to good use!
